How Do I Extract a Game Download ISO File?

ISO is a virtual-CD format. This means that the file is a virtual copy of an existing game disc. In order to play the game on the virtual disk, you'll need to get download virtual software that can extract the ISO, just as your CD ROM drive does with CDs. You can download virtual CD software for free from the Internet.

Step 1 Download and install free virtual CD software like Power ISO, Daemon Tools or Active ISO (see Resources section for links).

Step 2 Open the program. Select the ISO file you wish to extract with the appropriate open button.

Step 3 Double-click on your ISO file in the "Browse" window that appears.

Step 4 Click the "Extract" button. Choose the folder where the files will be extracted to and click "OK" to begin extraction.
