How to Play ISO Games?
 
An ISO is an image file that contains the contents of a CD or DVD. Think of it as a virtual disc. Playing a virtual disc requires a virtual drive. There are any number of programs, both free and commercial that will create virtual CD and DVD drives on a computer. This article shows how to create a virtual drive to use ISO images in Alcohol 120.

Create a Virtual Drive

Step 1 Install Alcohol 120 on the computer.

Step 2 Run Alcohol 120.

Step 3 Click "Virtual Drive" in the Options menu that appears on the left side of the screen.

Step 4 Set the number of virtual drives to one. One is usually sufficient.

Step 5 Click "OK."

Step 6 Click "Shell extensions" on the menu on the left side of the virtual drive setup box, and click "Select All."

Step 7 Click "OK." This will create the drive.

Mount the Image

Step 1 Start Alcohol 120.

Step 2 Click "Image Finder" on the menu on the left side of the screen.

Step 3 Make sure ISO images are selected, and click "Search."

Step 4 Select the ISO file that appears on the search screen, right click and choose "Add to Alcohol 120."

Step 5 Select the ISO file on the main screen, right click and choose "Mount on Device" and select the virtual drive that was just created.

Step 6 Close Alcohol 120.

Running the Game

Step 1 Choose Start>My Computer in Windows.

Step 2 Double Click the virtual drive to launch the program.

Step 3 Run the program.
